To dispute a KeHE deduction, you open a case in K-Solve, attach the backup that matches the deduction type, and file within 180 days of the deduction date. KeHE stopped accepting dispute submissions by email — the portal is the only channel. Here's the full process.
Step 1 — Gather the deduction details
Before you open a case, collect the specifics for each deduction: the deduction code, reference number, invoice number, date and amount. Disputes without these get bounced.
Step 2 — Assemble the backup KeHE requires
KeHE expects a real evidence package. Depending on the deduction type, that means timestamped EDI records, bills of lading (BOLs), packing lists and photographic documentation of the shipment. For a shortage, a signed BOL or proof of delivery is decisive; for a pricing or MCB dispute, it's the PO and the signed deal sheet.
Step 3 — Open a case in K-Solve
Log into KeHE CONNECT and find the K-Solve section. Open a case (essentially a ticket) for each deduction or group of related deductions, attach your backup, and state clearly why the deduction is invalid and what you're owed.
Step 4 — Track and respond
K-Solve keeps the communication log for each case. KeHE typically resolves a dispute in about three weeks, and may ask for more documentation — respond quickly, because the 180-day dispute window keeps running.
What makes disputes fail
- Missing the BOL or POD on a shortage — no proof of delivery, no recovery.
- Filing after the 180-day window has closed.
- Disputing valid, authorized deductions (e.g. an MCB that matches an approved deal).
- One giant case for dozens of unrelated deductions instead of clean, per-issue cases.

How do I dispute a KeHE deduction?
Open a case in K-Solve inside the KeHE CONNECT supplier portal, attach the backup that matches the deduction type (BOL/POD for shortages, PO for pricing, authorization for MCBs), state why the deduction is invalid, and file within 180 days of the deduction date.
Does KeHE accept disputes by email?
No. KeHE handles all financial transactions and disputes through K-Solve in the CONNECT supplier portal — email submissions are no longer accepted. (KeHE's older vendor policy listed a vendorperformance@KeHE.com email; the portal is now the only channel.)
What evidence wins a KeHE dispute?
The evidence depends on the deduction type: a signed BOL or POD for shortages, the PO and cost sheet for pricing disputes, and the signed deal sheet for MCBs. Timestamped EDI 856 (ASN) records strengthen shipment cases.
How long does KeHE take to resolve a dispute?
KeHE typically resolves disputes in about three weeks once filed. You have 180 days from the deduction date to file, so respond promptly to requests for more documentation.
